Website access and hosting
This website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages and the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Access involves processing your IP address, requested content, time and technical connection information, which may include device, browser and referrer details supplied by your browser.
This processing supports website delivery, availability, troubleshooting and protection against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in a secure, reliable website. Cloudflare also processes certain network and security data for its own purposes, as described in its privacy policy.

Website enquiries and email
The enquiry fields prepare an email. Your name, email address and project description are required for this function; details such as your company, dates, product quantities or team size are optional. Clicking the button opens your email application with the prepared message. We receive it only when you send it yourself from that application.
The website does not submit your entries to a form backend and does not provide a file upload. Its code does not save your entries in cookies or local browser storage. Your email application may save a draft according to its own settings.
When you email us, we process your contact details, message, transmission information and any attachments you choose to include so that we can answer your enquiry and discuss a quote or production. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to contractual enquiries and steps requested before entering into a contract. Other enquiries are handled under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in responding appropriately.
You are not legally required to enquire or supply optional information. Without a way to contact you and sufficient project details, we may be unable to reply or prepare a quote. An enquiry is not a booking.
Our email service providers
Messages sent to studio@spiekerfilmlab.de are received through Google Workspace and forwarded to the GMX mailbox we use. Both email services process the message and its associated transmission and contact details.
Under Google's current terms for customers in Germany, Google Workspace is provided by Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. GMX is a service of 1&1 Mail & Media GmbH, Karlsruhe branch, Brauerstraße 48, 76135 Karlsruhe, Germany.
We use these services to deliver, handle and store correspondence. The providers explain their respective data processing in the linked information.
Processing outside the European Economic Area
These services may process data through international infrastructure, particularly Cloudflare and Google in the United States. We do not promise that website or email data is processed exclusively within the EU.
Cloudflare describes its participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for US transfers and the use of EU standard contractual clauses where further safeguards are required. Google's terms provide for recognised transfer mechanisms or standard contractual clauses for relevant third-country transfers. GMX also describes possible third-country transfers in its privacy notice. The relevant mechanisms are adequacy decisions under Article 45 GDPR or, where required, safeguards under Article 46 GDPR.

Retention of enquiries
We retain correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle your enquiry, prepare or perform a contract, or resolve subsequent questions. Further retention may be required by law, for example for business or tax records, or to establish or defend legal claims.
The criteria are the content of the message, the course of the enquiry and any applicable retention or limitation periods. The legal bases are Articles 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f) GDPR, as applicable. Once these purposes and obligations no longer apply, the relevant data is deleted.
Fonts, images, cookies and external links
Fonts and images are delivered with the website files through the same hosting. No external font services, embedded maps, analytics scripts or advertising pixels are included. The website code does not set cookies or use persistent Local Storage entries.
Maps and other external services are ordinary links. You access the relevant service only when you open its link; its own privacy terms then apply. This does not affect your browser's normal technical caching of website files.
We do not use the information in your studio enquiry for automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have the right to access your personal data (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time, with effect for the future.
